PUMP START

Pump Starts

SO       : Closes
SVO     : Energized
SC       : Opens
SVC     : De-energized
LS        : Contacts opened

Water vents from  the actuating chamber and the valves inlet pressure moves the shuttle to open.

Note! Failing to reach 10% flow position,within 10 seconds, will cause pump trip.

CHARGE DELAY

Pump is running.
LS         : Contacts closes @ 10% flow position
SO        : Opens
SVO      : De-energized
SC        : Opened
SVC      : De-energized

Water are locked in the actuating chamber  for a duration of 10-20 minutes.

Note! The charge delay enables the charge of an empty or partial empty column without the danger of tripping the pump on excess flow.

SETTING THE LIMIT SWITCH

While the pump is running open the valve to a flow rate of ±10% of the pump’s nominal flow rate, as indicated by an external flow meter or the pump’s current.
Lock the valve and then screw the limit switch LS to the correct position.
Lock the limit switch with the locking nuts.

SETTING VALVE SPEED

The needle valve NV enables the setting of the valves opening and closing speed.
It is recommended to set the closing opening time to ±40 seconds. Limit LS switch contacts open when the shuttle throttles the flow through the valve to ±10% of the pumps nominal flow.

CLOSED VALVE

SO       : Opened
SVO    : De-energized
SC       : Closed
SVC    : Energized
LS       : Contacts opened

Water from the discharge column enters the actuating chamber and moving the shuttle to closed position.

VALVE OPENING

Pump is running.

LS       : Contacts are closed
SO      : Closes
SVO    : Energized
SC       : Opened
SVC    : De-energized

Water vents from the actuating chamber andthe valves inlet pressure moves the shuttle to afully opened position.

VALVE CLOSING

Pump stop button is pressed and the pump continue its running.

LS       : Contacts are closed
SO       : Opens
SVO     : De-energized
SC        : Closes
SVC      : Energized

Water enters the actuating chamber and the valves inlet pressure moves the shuttle toward the closed position.

Note! @ 10% flow position the limit switch contacts open, tripping the pump. The shuttle continue moving to a fully closed position.
